IN BRANCH:

  • Download, print and sign the Member Application Form
  • Ensure you have all supporting documents and identification as outlined in the requirements section below.
  • Visit our Branch and a member service representative will assist you in completing the process after which you will be provided with your member number.

In order to become a voting member, you will need to purchase five (5) Qualifying Shares valued at $50 each which totals $250. Next, you will need to invest in Equity Shares, which represents your ownership within the co-operative, purchasing five (5) Shares valued at $50 each, which totals $250.

When you join PWCCUL through a particular company, you remain a Member, even if you change employment. However, you must have a minimum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250) in your Member Qualification Share Account in order to retain membership. We encourage you to keep your account active by doing regular transactions in your Ordinary Share account.

WHO CAN JOIN?

  • Persons living or working in The Bahamas.
  • Individuals recommended for membership by other members who live or work within a 25km radius of the Credit Union’s office and who are not being served by any other credit union
    (speak to your Branch Manager).

REQUIREMENTS

  • An official, valid picture identification: Driver’s License, Elector Registration ID Voter’s card or Passport
  • National Insurance ID
  • Complete the KYM Form.  Reference can be from any two of the following: Directors or Volunteers of the Credit Union, Staff or Members of the Credit Union in good standing, Justice of the Peace (must bear embossed seal), Minister of Religion (must bear stamp), Employer, Other prominent professionals known to applicant (e.g. Teacher, Doctors, Lawyers, Credit Union Managers, Civil Servants, etc.)
  • Proof of Address (any one of the following): Current utility bill or Postmarked envelope (not more than 3 months old) with the applicant’s name and permanent address, Current credit card statement (no more than 3 months old), Government property tax receipt (not more than 1 year old) duly stamped by the Collectorate.
  • Job letter stating salary or last salary advice (monthly, fortnightly – 4, weekly – 8)
  • Minimum amount for opening
  • Membership Account: $355 (Inclusive of Qualifying Shares of $250 (Non-refundable); Regular Shares in the amount of $50; Entrance fee of $50 + $5 VAT.
  • Deposit Account: Minimum of $50
